Description

A sweet and salty mix of cereal, pretzels, nuts, and M&M’s coated in a chocolatey peanut butter coating. A take on a classic puppy chow perfect for Valentine’s Day snacking.

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 4 cup Crispix, Chex, or your preferred rice cereal
  • 2 cup mini pretzels
  • 1 cup unsalted, roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
    Melt the Chocolate and Peanut Butter Mixture

    Melt butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter in the microwave, stirring the ingredients every 30 seconds until it is smooth and creamy. Set aside.

    In a large bowl, add the Crispix cereal, mini pretzels, unsalted peanuts, and Valentine’s Day M&M’s. Toss to lightly mix.

    Pour half of the chocolate mixture over the cereal and toss to coat. Pour the other half of the chocolate mixture and stir until all of the pieces are evenly coated.

  5. Cool and Finish the Puppy Chow

    Set the bowl aside and let it cool to room temperature, about 10-15 minutes.

    Sprinkle the powdered sugar, ¼ cup at a time, stirring to coat the pieces evenly.
