A super simple guacamole recipe made with a handful of ingredients. It’s almost easier than buying guacamole from the store!
Slice the avocados in half, length-wise, and carefully remove and discard the pit from each. Use a spoon to scoop out the flesh from each avocado and add it to a large mixing bowl. Discard the avocado skins.
Add the lime juice directly into the bowl over the avocado. Use the tines of a fork or the back of a spoon to mash the avocado until it begins to look smooth, but still has a few chunks.
Add the diced jalapeno, red onion, and fresh cilantro to the bowl. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and stir the ingredients together, continuing to lightly mash the avocado with a spoon until the desired smoothness is reached.
Taste the guacamole and adjust the salt levels if desired. Serve right away with tortilla chips and enjoy!
