Description

Oat milk hot chocolate made fresh on the stovetop with a splash of amaretto. The perfect treat to cozy up with during the cold winter months.

Ingredients
  • 2 cup oat milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • small pinch of cinnamon, to taste
  • 1/4 cup bittersweet baking chocolate (or semi-sweet for a sweeter drink)
  • 2 oz Amaretto liquor
  • Whipped cream and marshmallows for topping
Instructions
  1. 1

Add the oat milk, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and baking chocolate to a small saucepan.

  2. 2

Place the saucepan over medium-low heat, whisking frequently to stop the chocolate from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

  3. 3

Once the chocolate has melted and the ingredients have melded together, about 7-10 minutes, take the pan off the heat. Divide the hot chocolate between 2 mugs. Add 1 oz  of amaretto to each mug and stir to combine. Top each drink with whipped cream and marshmallows. Enjoy!
