Refreshing, homemade lemonade infused with the warming flavor of ginger and turmeric root and sweetened with honey.
Pour 2 cups of water, the granulated sugar, peeled ginger, and peeled turmeric into a medium saucepan.
Place the saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir the liquid often, until the sugar dissolves completely, about 10 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the spices steep for another 5 minutes.
Strain the sweetener into a heat proof container. Discard the ginger and turmeric root. Let the sweetener cool completely.
In a large pitcher, pour the lemon juice. Mix with 4 cups water, honey, and the ginger turmeric sweetener. Stir to combine.
Store the lemonade in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Serve over ice and enjoy!
